Leaping Lizards! (MLNP pt5)

Got some pics of the annoles(spelling) that are common as heck in Florida. I don't think the one sticking his head out of the recycle bin could read that it was glass only...

MLNP. P4

Yet more pics, tweaked them for color balance and played around a little with the brightness and contrast a bit on these. hope you enjoy them! Took a color pic and put it into grayscale too, I thought it looked nice like that.

MLNP. pt3 Fauna

I did take a ton of photos at the park Sunday, so as not to overload with gignormous updates, I will try to update at least once a day, showing a few more photos, This update will be some of the critters that I saw while strolling thru the park.

Moccasin Lake Nature Park pt.2

One of the stranger things is that when I was walking around the park, in a somewhat out of the way place, there was a tree that looked like it had small oranges on it, The only place I saw them at all growing. but, as I walked around the park some more, I found a few oranges that had apparently been plucked from that tree almost a half a mile to a mile away and had ended up in different places.

Moccasin Lake Nature Park

Took a short drive down to the local nature park here in Clearwater, Fl. Its a decent sized place, I ended taking around 200 photos which I am sorting thru right now to find good ones, only cost 3 bucks to get in. The injured bald eagle wasn't on display, in fact most of the birds weren't there today. Only the vulture and a crow were to be seen, none of the owls, nor the eagle I remember were there. now, it comes down to sorting thru all the pics to pick out some really nice ones to put up. I grabbed a few interesting ones to start.

Backyard Photos

I went out to the backyard to take a few shots to see how the new camera works, and I have to say, I love it! I probably got more camera than I will ever need, but hey, you only live once. what I picked up was a Canon 20d kit, only the 18-55 lens that came with it, a tripod, a UV filter, Polarizing filter, and to make sure I don't run out of space, a 4 gig microdrive, add in the Canon bag, and I think I got a pretty good deal for just under $1800.

Welcome!

Welcome to my attempt to make something interesting, I am not really big into the whole blogging thing, but I have always loved to look at others photos and photoblogs, and have always wanted to be able do do similar, so, last week, I picked up a decent digital camera, and well... here we go!
